  I'm using Word 2007 and have set up headings, level 1, 2 & 3 with numbering. For the level 3 headings, I would like the first sentence after the number to display in the table of contents, and all text that follows to not be displayed.   I am having trouble viewing on screen - table of contents, text box, etc. If I try to insert a text box I can only see the text box in print preview. I work in page layout view but it is not showing true page. Is there something I can re-set to get true page layout view back??

  I create my document using Styles (Headings), and the headings have outline numbers and are bold. When I generate the TOC, occasionally the bolding will come into the TOC on the setion number only.   Word 2007 - I created an automatic table of contents using field entries in Word 2000. It worked find. Now, when I open it in Word 2007, edit the document and hit F9 the automatic TOC has extra tab marks that screws up the formatting.
