Hi stew41 You would need to ask your doctor, the pathology lab or the Cancer clinic of your choice if it is possible to do what you want. If it is not possible another biopsy would be needed. I had a false negative on a biopsy and lost 4 months of treatment time so I would follow this up if I were you. You have the benefit of my hindsight Good luck ! _________________ Age ...

Replying to: Breast Lump I am so sorry to have to welcome you to the club. But know that there are many caring folks here so you can feel secure. You are quite young to have breast cancer, but it is not unknown. So it is good you are being careful! Smart Gal! You'd be surprised at how many of us ignore what our bodies tell us only to regret it later. Cancers are as individual as ...

Replying to: DCIS Hi, I'm Vivian. I thought I'd add my experience just for comparison and perspective. I was diagnosed with DCIS last July after a surgical biopsy that was 4cm and no clear margins. Also, it was receptor negative, and high grade. The next step was an MRI to determine the extent of the cancer. It turned out to be so extensive (I'm very small breasted), that I could see ...

Replying to: breast biopsy This is an unusual cancer. I would first ask that the pathology be reviewed by an experienced breast pathologist, and then I would get a second opinion for surgical management at a comprehensive cancer center.

Replying to: What should we expect now? What a loving, caring individual you are!!! Your sister-in-law is very fortunate to have you in her corner! It is obvious that you have done your homework diligently! In that effort, you probably have more information than I can supply. However, I will share my impressions. To begin with, though mammograms are the gold standard in watchful ...

I had a German Shepherd/Pit mix (my very first dog) and he developed a bump that looks similar to what your pic shows. It was about the size of a dime and then grew to about the size of a quarter. It was hard, not soft. It was located on his lower back towards his tail. I had to take him to two vets because the first vet didn't seem to know. The second vet did a biopsy on it and found out ...

Question I have a hard and painful lump under my nipple where I had a severe hematoma due to a stereotactic (vacuum assisted) needle biopsy.  The biopsy results were negative, with no concerns about abnormal hyperplasias, etc., noted.  Post-biopsy, I experienced severe bleeding and had to go to the emergency room the night of the biopsy and also two days later when the bleeding resumed.  For 4...

Replying to: Second Opinion Hi Jszcz, - Now that you have further explained your Fathers reluctance, you need to know that "second opinions" discussed in the previous posts come in two forms. One is a formal second opinion and consultation, where the patient AND his Biopsy slides are referred to another Specialist and/or Institution, for both a physical exam and tissue slide review. ...

Hi--We have posted to the board in the past. Our little schnauzer, Gracie, was diagnosed with IBD in August. We postponed a biopsy, hoping that we could put some weight on her, since she had lost three pounds. We also thought that possibly we could manage the condition with strictly diet. And for the most part, things have gone well. However, Gracie did have two episodes, and we had to rush her...

Just curious - I am in the process of getting an MRI (did the genetic blood test, blood work and chest xray - and of course the initial biopsy for diagnosis). My big appt with surgeon, oncologist and radiologist is Tues. and I would like a second opinion on the procedure or order of things - surgery/lumpectomy/chemo etc. So, if anyone happens to be in Seattle and can recommend a team, i would...
