I had the usual ultra sound, then fna which was "in-conclusive" so the only way to tell if there's cancer for sure, is surgery to remove the thyroid. I had my thyroid removed 4/4/08 (it was cancer and also 2 lymph nodes which were also cancerous"). I had had no symptoms whatsoever. I was given RAI; and as of Friday my thythoglubin was very low, meaning no cancer at this time!! Sites you ...

Replying to: Breast Lump I am so sorry to have to welcome you to the club. But know that there are many caring folks here so you can feel secure. You are quite young to have breast cancer, but it is not unknown. So it is good you are being careful! Smart Gal! You'd be surprised at how many of us ignore what our bodies tell us only to regret it later. Cancers are as individual as ...

Hi, when I last posted I was trying to decide whether to do chemo or not .My first oncologist recommended it, my second opinion said I didn't need it. (this is for high grade DCIS). I thought about going for a third opinion, until I talked to my sister's friend. My sister is a general surgeon, and has been a huge help in guiding me through all the cancer business, without interfering with my ...

Replying to: DCIS Hi, I'm Vivian. I thought I'd add my experience just for comparison and perspective. I was diagnosed with DCIS last July after a surgical biopsy that was 4cm and no clear margins. Also, it was receptor negative, and high grade. The next step was an MRI to determine the extent of the cancer. It turned out to be so extensive (I'm very small breasted), that I could see ...

Hi Derek Reading your post made me think of similarities with mine. First two visits to the GP was diagnosed as an infection and only on the third visit was a second opinion given by another GP. Then things moved quickly - well for the UK and I was treated in 2 weeks (yes - there was a holiday during my diagnosis as well). Hope you get helpful information tomorrow.

Hi Eric, Good luck tomorrow. Based on what you've written, I would suggest you seek a second opinion at a center of excellence. (Actually, regardless of what you have written, a second opinion is always a good idea when dealing with cancer.). Best, Joe

I think that they should swap spots in the polls. It's early, but that's no excuse for the biased rankings that schools such as Duke and UCLA ended up with. UT looks as good as any team in the top ten so far. That's from a Memphis fan. UT's looks alot like last year's team. Very wild, quick posessions, not a concrete half court game outside of T. Smith. 29 3-pointers, 27 team fouls...

Pkay guys, sorry this is late. Sickness and being busy just got in thw way. Better late than never I guess. ARIES Life will be somewhat difficult this month as you may be on the wrong track. There may be some loneliness in your life and you may tend to over sacrifice more than needed. You may also be too dependent on others. Some amount of failure is inevitable but patience will win through. ...

Alan's cancer doctor that he had for his first bout with cancer talked him into going into the hospital and letting him run some tests and try to help him. Alan had pretty much gone home to die after he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer a month ago by the doctors at the county hospital. He was strongly against anymore treatments only to get a few more months of life with no quality. His ...

Nicolas Sarkozy should be judged on his actions and not on his personality.
