Quote from: Rocket on Today at 02:14:49 am I'm going to place an order for some blue jeans cables.  The hifi shop was raving how much better the xlo would sound and I heard no difference. Am I deaf?  or is this all just voodoo regarding cables. The blue jeans speaker cables are just Belden 5000 cable. You should be able to find an equivalent locally and save some money. You ...

I'm having one of my contract companies pull some cable for my auditorium upgrade. I need 3 cables pulled for line level program and sub amps. They are going to pull Belden-M 9451 2C22. Is that right??? The distance will be about 100-125ft. The cable will connect a LS9 and two power amps.

I tend to agree with James, in that boutique silver supercrystal linear accellerometer wire isn't worth a small fortune. Alternatively, I don't think any of the materials you have listed are unreasonable. There is definite value in using high quality cable from belden and canare. I've seen that stuff at work in $150k+ industrial machines. It will last you two lifetimes if you don't abuse it.

Another inexpensive cable suggestion is.....Heartland Cables. Dan builds his Canare and Belden based interconnects and speaker cable like tanks. Awesome build quality! I own a set of his $30/1M pair Canare interconnects and a pair of $70/10' Canare 4S11 cable/Vampire banana plug speaker wire. Steve

I believe he is going to have this fully exposed to the elements and not hidden under eaves for protection. The standard PVC jacketing will rot from UV exposure within the first year when in constant direct sunlight. Belden and Commscope manufacture flooded CAT5e cable, but you will have to buy it in a 1000' roll unless you can find a local contractor who will sell the footage you need...
