Hiya, Just figured I'd give you guys an update - I had my 2nd infusion on Nov. 4th. (and remember, if you all are getting tired of this, just let me know - I don't want to be boring everyone with my Tysabri stuff, lol.) I saw my neuro on Thursday and we discussed the possiblility of me going on Tysabri. He informed me that he spoke to a distributor from the drug company who told him that taking Remeron has been shown to decrease the chances of getting PML when taking Tysabri. The article below is one of the first times I have seen published where PML because of Tysabri is now expected and less than that for a few other drugs. Hi friends, I thought I'd just let all know that my Tysabri infusion no. 2 was canceled. I was scheduled to do it tomorrow (Thursday)...but my Neuro canceld it due to my change in eye sight. She wants to see me before I go for my next infusion. She also wants me to be seen by an Opthamologist too. I'll let you guys know what happens...and when they'll start me back up. When I got my first MRI after starting Tysabri (about 3-4 months after) there were new lesions, but my doctor concluded that the new lesions had probably occurred before I started tysabri. Also, Dr. Markowitz at UPenn stated that there was nothing active. I have not had an MRI since that time because I have been doing so well on tysabri and my doctors do not see the need for another MRI unless ...

I've had 25 infusions of Tysabri. No major relapses but have more spasticity of my torso area that I hadn't experienced prior to starting Tysabri. I haven't improved but I'm stable. Good luck to you!
