Garrett- If you have not yet committed to buying a meter/DMM/teste/as-you-like, and you're shopping online, you might want to take a look at MCM's website at Audio and Video, Computer Parts, Batteries, Cable and Wiring at MCM Electronics and start with their "Tenma" house brand. (In actuality, these are made by someone else, but they work.) Much of their inexpensive line is not "super duper"...

Panasonics have been very dependable over the years. Mine is still going strong after 13 years! If you need belts or video heads to repair an old VCR, MCM Electronics still stocks all the parts you need.
