tomorrow mornin for the trial of spinal cord stimulator - have to be there are 7:45am and they should start around 8:45am - they told me the procedure takes about 45minutes to an hour and then an hour in recovery - will try to post tomorrow night to let ya know how i do - take care - talk to you later - Joy -- 2/2008 Anterior Lumbar Fusion L5-S1 surgery was sucess. But....if the bulge is pressing on nerves and causing your feet to be numb, you definately need something done. Are you saying the Dr said you might be in a wheelchair if you DIDN'T have the surgery? If other methods won't help then you...

I try to stand and stretch at least every hour or so. If you can take a short walk to the bathroom you can then do a bend over stretch or stretch your arms. well yesterday was the day from hell!!!! they told me that the procedure would be less painful than a discogram - NOT - it hurt so bad - so this is what happened - once they got the implants in I was in recovery where the guy adjusted the remote of the SCS - i could feel it in my right leg (upper part down to behind my knee where the nerve pain damage is) BUT the nerve running down my shin ...

G.-morning Deach,I read your post from yesterday (Sat.) & you talked about your knee hurting. Have you had knee replacement? I don't know how much longer I can hold out with mine,a year or two ago I went to a ortho. surgeon & we had an MRI done. It showed just about bone on bone,did 3 set's of cortisone & it helped a lot. The 3rd. shot made my blood sugars go thru the roof & I felt real BAD....

Morning backie oldsters and newbies, Down to freezing here in S.East Pa. Not ready for the cold weather. Slept okay, watching football last night was a good way to drift off. Very busy at work, selling more cough and cold products again. Didn't get my flu shot as yet. Need to see my new PCP as soon as he gets my records. Ahhhh, monday again, 38 and not warming up much today. Now we get below normal temps. after above normal. Guess we have to make up for the warm days. Good sleeping last night, when i do sleep good i wake up early. Oh well. Slight cervical pain and good old sciatic is there. Hey Arthur where are you? Ooops there you are. Where is everyone? Good Morning All,Well I had my discogram(FUN NOT) on Wes. they called me yesterday to set up a time for the procedure. A fusion on Dec. 19th I have already met my deductible so I wanted it done before the new year.
