I don't know anything about this one and I don't recall where I heard about it... http://stockcharts.com/charts/gallery.html?axys ...but the chart was/is certainly strong. Recent dump could provide enough time to do proper DD before buying. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s=AXYS -Yahoo! Profile Technology: Scientific & Technical Instruments -this would suggest I heard about it ...

The news media, both digital and print, is chock full of pictures depicting floor traders at the NYSE holding hands to their temples, burying their faces in said hands, or standing with slumped shoulders while staring with puppy-dog eyes at the ticker. As Andy Rooney might say, "Why is that?" Granted, prices are down. Investors are losing money. But regardless of stock prices, ...

I'll be looking for DT, ST and LT positions today. If the SEC re-instates the ban on short-selling I'll be buying at the open. If the market opens down, I'll be buying at the open. If the market opens up I'll be waiting until 1100. Stocks I'm looking at are IBM, K, MSFT, CSCO, COST, GE, and some other blue chip or blue chip like stocks. I doubt I'll be grabbing anything smaller but ...

Next week is Options expiration for October. Although I am a big fan of Max-Pain... It is moves like this that I typically see Max-Pain fail. I believe sellers throw in the towel and move on to the next month. That is not to say the pps will not move in a direction towards the Max-pain strike price. However, it does mean Max-pain is not a likely target (ST sell) price. IOW, next ...

This was put on the board a short time ago. It's a long platinum bet and there's a short platinum bet as well. I think this could be a winner in the long term. Right now the volume on it is extremely low and it's been falling almost since the day it started trading. That probably won't continue as platinum has been in somewhat short supply and it's used in all kinds of industries. I...

Jean, since you know about plants - so far all I've read about ornamental grasses says let them be until spring and then cut them back. My ornamentals are kind of taking over my yard. Could I really damage them by cutting them back now? We have about 8-10 different kinds of grass. Pretty, but it's starting to look like a jungle out there! Any advice would be appreciated. ellen...

re: trading the Dollar for and against. Like wise, the Euro triplet combo. On or about August 1st, 2008, sell UDN. With the profits, compound the monies and buy UUP. As per the charts, buy and sell as per the xovers. The teeter cum totter principle applies. You will always be making a profit. Werks for me. Hasn't failed yet Now, try the ERO ; FXE or DRR triplet combo playing the Euro ...

I have a question about support and resistance, using an example. Look at AAPL for the last couple of years. It seems to me like 120 is a fairly clear support point, having dipped to approximately that number a couple of times in June of 07, once in August of 07, and several times in Feb/Mar of 08. It then proceeded to blow right through that number in late September, closing last ...
