I'll be looking for DT, ST and LT positions today. If the SEC re-instates the ban on short-selling I'll be buying at the open. If the market opens down, I'll be buying at the open. If the market opens up I'll be waiting until 1100. Stocks I'm looking at are IBM, K, MSFT, CSCO, COST, GE, and some other blue chip or blue chip like stocks. Next week is Options expiration for October. Although I am a big fan of Max-Pain... It is moves like this that I typically see Max-Pain fail. I believe sellers throw in the towel and move on to the next month. That is not to say the pps will not move in a direction towards the Max-pain strike price. Jean, since you know about plants - so far all I've read about ornamental grasses says let them be until spring and then cut them back. My ornamentals are kind of taking over my yard. Could I really damage them by cutting them back now? We have about 8-10 different kinds of grass. Pretty, but it's starting to look like a jungle out there! Any advice would be appreciated. ellen...
