I think this is a striking design, visually, and a large step up from previous Emerald Physics offerings. Congratulations, Clayton! If this is the work of an industrial designer, it was really worth it! Brilliant!

I like being able to swap cables but it does feed the nervosa and wallet drain. What do you think?

Anybody ever heard an "Old wives tale" that says something like "If you have a kind of laid back sound coming from a preamp and you want to brighten it up swap tubes!!!" Do tubes really make a big difference? Cheers Charlie

I have owned a YBA Integre DT for the past 6 years and use it as a bedroom setup. Recently, I unhooked it to dust the shelves and took the opportunity to see how it sounded with my Thiel CS2.4 floorstanders. The Integre DT is rated at 50 w into 8 ohms and 90 into 4. As some may know, my reference amplifiers are the CIAudio D*200 or Sanders ESL 300, the former packing almost 400 w into 4...

Has anyone heard this preamp? There are not very many user reviews out there. My two-channel and HT are shared, so the HT bypass is nice along with the bass management to add my sub to two-channel music. Current setup: Flac->SB3->CI VDA2 Outlaw 970 prepro (use analog bypass for two channel) Outlaw 7100 amp av123 Strata Minis Outlaw LFM-1EX Thanks Or other recommendations?

Hi Lizzard_King. Saw this thread and had to chime in. Having spent some time with the Ultra Fi iRoc USB DAC, I have to second saisunil's recommendation of this unit. I now own one. I posted Larry Moore of Ultra Fi to make sure I wasn't crossing any boundaries and just got a response back from him: You can purchase a new iRoc directly from Ultra Fi. He also has four upgrade trade-ins ...

I know that we tend to post the negative experiences with vendors more than the positive ones, so I thought it was worth taking a few minutes to describe the great customer service I recently received from Dan at Running Springs Audio. Given these woeful economic times, I imagine there are those among us who have pulled back on their spending habits a bit. Or a lot. Or at least taken a hard look at what we spend our money on. Yet I've come to realize that the money I've spent on my audio gear and music in general has been money well spent... little as it may be relative to a lot of you. I'm curious what the rest of...

hello all, a friend of mine needs a pair of 3ft biamped speaker cables in a single sheath per side for waf. is there a good quality, very reasonably priced manufacturer you guys would recommend (the budget is around 200usd). in this application the sound quality is not supremely critical - yet . he and his wife are just starting their first audiophile system, but aesthetics are at ...

A thread to post what sound equipment you just acquired. Gloating is allowed. Helpful information to add would be: How much did you pay? Why did you get it? I'll start - Hagtech Cornet2 - $750 Built from the kit with Sonicap and Mundorf S/O caps I was using a Bottlehead Seduction, a great little phono pre-amp, but I wanted to compare it to the Cornet, the Cornet2 is staying. Wayne...

I moved recently, when I set my system back up I found that my preamps Alps volume pot sounds dirty. Its making a crunching sound when its turned. I tried some Rat Shack tuner cleaner but it didn’t work all that well. I was told to use model train track cleaner fluid. But its hard to find without some sort of lubricant mixed in. I need some advice as to how to clean this part and ...
