When I create a layer and place an image within it, it does not stay locked in place on the background. If I preview in a brouser and then reduce the side of the brouser window the background is locked and doesn't "shift" around, but the layers do and depending on the brouser size might "shift" off of the entire website background. I don't get it.  

Expression Web has a mid-range learning curve.  You might want to stick with Frontpage, even though it is being/has been pretty much phased out. Expression Web works better for those with *some* knowledge of HTML and CSS at minimum. I'm using Cute FTP Pro 3.1. When navigating to my website folder, I am seeing the following hidden folders: _vti_cnf _vti_pvt Should I upload these? What are they for? Some sites say Frontpage extentions. I am on a Linux server. Thanks!

I've uploaded my webiste designed in xweb2 to my NetNation host server and encountered some problems. I just purchased Expression Web 2 and when I try to use the tutorial CD it keeps telling me I need Silverlight 1.  I have Silverlight 2 installed and can't seem to find Silverlight 1 anywhere any longer.   Any Idea how I can get this CD working?

 I am using Expression web for the first time, (i had dreamweaver before) & I cannot figure out how to get rid of the ugly blue box that surrounds my links. I just want the link to be regular, with no decorations. Just click on the image and go to that link. Need someones help, my webite that I created in expression 2, is coming back with all kinds of goofy characters, once I hosted on my godaddy account, characters like ï»¿ and its also pulling my page all the way to the left side of the browser but its supposed to be centered.
