21 Because that, when they knew God , they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. If you believe in Total Depravity and you are a Calvinists how do you reconcile it with this verse?

As on many Bible topics, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, But God has showed me an angle on the once saved always saved issue, that I would like to share with all who will read this thread. To start with, let me say that there are many verses on the left side ( the side that says we can lose our salvation ) that I struggle with. But there are many verses on the right side ( or what I think...

Ok, I have a question. I know there are a lot of verses that say you need to tithe, but aren't there also verses about taking care of your family? What does everyone feel about tithing? Do you have to tithe 10% of your income or do you feel some of your services you do for and with the church count towards this too. Also, if there is someone who is making just enough so that they can make ...

14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another 16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ ...

7 Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why would God give David multiple...

It is supremely important to have faith in God, both for our salvation and for believing that He has kept and preserved His words throughout every generation as He promised to do. If you cannot believe God has kept His promise to preserve His words, then how can you believe He will keep His promise to preserve your soul? Ask any modern version promoter if he believes the originals were given...

Generically speaking, I agree with the "Saved by grace" thing. It is a very obvious doctrine found in Paul's letters, and, though it is not given as much attention, it is still a doctrine found in the gospels. But does "Saved by grace" mean that "Works" play no part? See for yourself what Scripture says men will be judged upon. Pay attention to the colored portions of the text. Matthew 16:...

I am currently reading the book The Revised & Expanded Answers Book and it lightly talks about these "people groups" as being in existence at one point in history (and it says that stone age people still exist today) but it doesn't really elaborate on it or provide for it. Does anyone have any information on this and how it relates to the Christian faith of our Creator and his creation?...

According to the following scriptures, Gods gift to those that believe is offered freely to those that desire/want it. Is 55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Jn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that ...

Why do christians, churches and pastors hold to and perpetuate a myth that runs contrary to Scripture. I'm talking about the 3 wise men visiting the baby Messiah at the manger in Bethlehem? When you mix error with truth - you end up with error, which is usless or even dangerous.

People don't like to hear about Hell, but I'm here to tell you that if Jesus is not your Lord and Savior then you are on your way to Hell. For those of you who know that Hell exists (trust me, the Bible says it's a real place and the greatest deception that Satan ever achieved was convincing the world that he and Hell didn't exist), you will be upset at this bad news. You may think that I'm ...

Does Psalm 51 teach the doctrine of Original Sin? David announces in verse 5: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.”

In I Corinth. 4:1 Paul talks about the "mysteries" and him being a minister of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God. I would like to start a discussion on the mysteries, if anyone is interested. So please let me know, and we can beging this discussion God Bless - Love IN Christ - M M

I write this on the first day of the week. I don’t expect that everyone will agree with everything (or even one thing) I am about to say, but bear with me please. Anyone who has read the Bible knows there are two accounts of creation. One account tells of six days and a seventh for rest. The other account speaks of the creation of Adam and then begins the accounting of ...
