Has anybody been scanning the adds that are getting posted up and will appear in this Sunday's and Thanksgiving Day's papers? I've looked at a few of them thus far and not really seeing anything that is making me want to go out and deal with the parking and crowds. Some of the add prices aren't anything spectactular or even different than prices available right now. Any thoughts? Are you going ...

Today I was working for someone I would call an aquaintance. I've known him for quite a while on a professional level, but not on a personal level. We've been known to tease each other from time to time, but only in good fun. He and his wife own this business together, and while I was there, they were having a rather interesting "discussion" as only spouses that work together can. He walked...

Then check this out: White Album I am not much of a memorabilia collector, so I would not be interested in it - at least at that price. But I do suppose its a one of a kind (one of of 5 anyway) collector's item.

I have two Subaru Foresters for sale. One a 5 speed turbo and the other an automatic normally aspirated. I'll be heading to apple valley next week so it is possible I could trailer one down that way if a deal was struck. Both have lay down seats and we went with them because we could fit the dogs. Obviously they are AWD which is nice for safety and they are low enough to easily get in and out ...

I have a pair of JBL L100T3 speakers, early 90s vintage if memory serves, that I use in my master bedroom. The foam surrounds on the woofers deteriorated badly, so I decided to try and fix them. Bought a kit online for about $25 and gave it a go. It was shockingly easy work and they came out great. If you've got some old, high quality speakers with bad woofer surrounds, fixing them at home is a ...

Bumping this because I am thinking about going with U-verse. The one thing is that if I go with them for my TV service, I can't keep my Cable Internet service. Anyone have this service yet? Any comments?

Having a 2.5yr old it's been a little while since we've gone to a prime time movie. We've taken the first mate to a few matinee's and he's done really well. So we decide to take him to Madagascar 2 Africa but I about choked on the ticket prices. I log online to order them (shouldn't this be less) and here's the breakdown for a family of two and a half. Adult tickets $12.50 totaling $25.00 (this ...

Yes, It's another boring (yet exciting) gas watch! I am planning to put the boat underground again this year for storage during winter. All I have left to do is fill 'er up and take her in this weekend. I'm almost excited to fill the tank with prices so low!

Hi y'all Just sitting in Amsterdam airport thinking about the last 10 or 11 days. Amazing how many lives we have made better by the few trips we have made. By better, I mean as simple as digging a well and suppling fresh clean water to thousands of people. I do not feel any guilt, but a greater responsibility in how I spend my money. That does not mean I have to sell my boat, house etc but just ...

My 2-year-old Motorola RAZR will be eligible to retire Oct. 20th. It's time to start the research on the replacement. Priorities (in order): 1) Must fit in pocket (cannot be too thick) 2) Calendar and planning functions; would be nice if synced via cellular network to a Microsoft Exchange account. 3) Quick/easy to type with 4) Internet Browser 5) Cost (<$60 per month service contract; ...

If you can't boat, cook! Supposed to snow tomorrow, and nothing I can think of that's better on a snowy day than a big ol' bowl of homemade chili! And when I make chili, I don't mess around. I expect this to be around 3/4 full by this evening... Yup, 5 or 6 gallons worth But, it'll all be gone before the end of the week, the kids & grandkids will make sure of that! No special recipe. ...
